La Cocina's best-selling gift boxes are packed with a curated selection of delicious, artisanal packaged treats, locally made by La Cocina-born food businesses and talented immigrant women and women of color chefs. Each product is crafted in small batches, boasting the highest quality and authentic flavors.

We have thoughtfully selected an amazing assortment of La Cocina goodies in each box. While we cannot accommodate specific products, we’re confident you’ll enjoy the variety! (A $50 box may include 5-6 products while a $100 box may include 7-10 products).

The talented Chefs highlighted below offer you a taste of what’s likely to be inside your gift box. 

Don Bugito – Chef Monica Martinez draws inspiration from Pre-Hispanic Mexican cuisine, always seeking to reinvent ancestral foods. Known for her planet-friendly protein snacks featuring edible insects in both savory and sweet flavors, Monica’s latest creation, Alegrias (Milk Chocolate Amaranth Bites), is her first insect-free product. These light yet satisfying treats highlight the ancient grain amaranth.

Sal de Vida – Chef Adriana Lahl, born in Mexico City, honed her culinary skills across Mexico, San Francisco, Saint Helena, and Paris at Le Cordon Bleu. Her business, Sal de Vida, offers creative finishing salts, rice, and soup mixes. In the gift box, you'll find her Chipotle Pepitas with Cacao Nibs—crunchy, savory, and sweet.

Neo Cocoa – Chef Christine Doerr’s chocolate journey began as a teen, leading to formal training at the California Culinary Academy, years as a pastry chef at Bay Area bakeries, and numerous awards, including a Gold SOFI award from the Specialty Food Association for her Black Sesame Seed Toffee Brittle, featured in our gift boxes.

Estrellita’s Snacks – Founded by Chef Maria Del Carmen with just $20, Estrellita’s Snacks began with a classic Salvadoran snack, freshly fried plantain and yucca chips. Now run by her daughter Estrella Gonzalez and Estrella’s son Angel, their business includes award-winning pupusas served at their restaurant and farmers markets, and sold at artisanal grocers in San Francisco. The gift box offers their iconic, irresistible Yucca Chips or Plantain Chips.

Sabores del Sur – Hailing from Chile, Chef Guisell Osorio’s famous alfajores—delicate shortbread cookies filled with creamy dulce de leche—were named “The Best Cookie on Earth” by Diablo Magazine. The gift box includes her chocolate-covered alfajores, perfect for gifting with their longer shelf life.

Nusa – Nusa was founded in 2013 by Chef Jennifer Huang after realizing her homeland of Indonesia had little-to-no culinary presence in Northern California. Today, Nusa offers unique, classic Indonesian and Indonesian-inspired treats, snacks, and savory items, handcrafted following traditional home-style recipes. Our gift box features their famous chewy, crunchy, sweet Almond Cranberry Nougat. 

Kitiya – Chef Kitiya Ditpare grew up immersed in her family’s restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand. Her mother’s cooking techniques laid the foundation for Kitiya’s recipes, which include her fragrant and versatile curry pastes and sauces. The gift box offers her Nam Jim Ped, Thai spicy cilantro sauce. This delicious and versatile Thai sauce is perfectly crafted to enhance the taste of chicken, meat, seafood, eggs, or salad. It can be used as a marinade to infuse your favorite ingredients with a mouth-watering sensation.

Noodle Girl – Chef Hang Truong, inspired by her mother’s noodle dishes, founded Noodle Girl in 2016. The gift box includes her Vietnamese-Style Corn Nuts, fried in non-GMO organic sunflower seed oil and seasoned with salt, jalapeño, mushroom, and sugar for a savory, sweet, and lightly spiced flavor.

• We are happy to include personalized notes for a fee. For a message printed on the shipping packing slip, it is $1.00 per note. For a printed note card inside of a gift box, it is $4.00 per note. Select Add-on to choose the type of note you'd like, update the total quantity in your cart and use the box to write your note at checkout. • For gifts shipped to multiple addresses, place them as individual orders.
